Produced by SCOPE and LAANE for RePower LA, this map showing LADWP Solar Incentives Program (SIP) distribution per capita based on the LADWP Solar Incentive Working Data Set (2015) shows highly unequal distribution of these ratepayer-funded incentives with South LA and West LA in particularly strong contrast. Watts for example received $0.37/person in SIP incentives while Bel Air received nearly $200/person. LADWP is seeking to address some of this inequity though their forthcoming community solar program.
